Lampshade Making Advanced 27th May 2018
Sunday 27th May 2018
This workshop runs from 'BOTTOMS' END', my studio located in idyllic country surroundings at the end of a quiet country lane in the beautiful Jamberoo Valley (approximately half an hour south of Wollongong - an easy 2.5 hrs-ish from Sydney, or Canberra).
This workshop is suitable for anyone who has completed a previous beginners' workshop. In this you will learn how to make:
~ either an Empire (slope-sided) shade from scratch, with 20cm top diam and 30cm bottom diametre,
~ or recover an existing shade you already own (the workshop price may vary slightly if your shade is significantly larger than the dimensions shown above).
There is no sewing, glueing or pegging involved, just clever professional techniques using premium quality materials.
All you need to bring is your own fabric (an info sheet of everything you need to know will be provided on booking). Fabrics are available for purchase in the Rapt showroom in Jamberoo, which is open Saturday mornings 9am-12noon. (In the showroom you can choose from a large selection of fabric in stock, or pre-order from a huge variety of sample-stock direct from the suppliers, with a minimum of 2 weeks' notice. Prices well below RRP).
Participant numbers are limited to just 4, so you are guaranteed highly personalised tuition, in a relaxed and fun atmosphere. Being a country-event, afternoon tea is of course included.
If you know someone who might like doing this, or another workshop on another date, Gift Vouchers are available from our showroom, or by mail.
Please note if you're new to Lampshade making then please consider the 'Beginners' workshop listed separately. If you'd like to make a day of it and do both workshops, there is a $10.00 discount.
